The 321st Bomb Group and all Squadron's Insignia's --Numerical designation, 3,2,1 Bombs Falling. The 321st formerly commanded by Brig. Robert Knapp, was the first group to fly from the United States to an overseas base in a single mass flight. It also was the first to use tail and waist guns in a B-25. During more than 18 months of Combat Operations in this theater the unit bagged eight enemy flights for every bomber it lost.”
